Subject to any cancellation of an order, Caltech Electrical Supplies will deliver the products specified in the Customer's order.
Caltech Electrical Supplies use third
party delivery services to deliver products to the customer.
Delivery options, and the prices for them, are as indicated on the Caltech
Electrical Supplies website. Customers are informed that delivery options and
prices are subject to change and up-to-date information can be found on the
Caltech Electrical Supplies website. Delivery prices
for Website purchases may differ from delivery prices on orders placed with the
sales office. Any delivery charges indicated on sales office quotes are not
subject to change or matching of website prices.
Delivery prices are only indicated for All-Ireland sales, UK Sales and European sales. Sales outside of these areas are subject to further quoted delivery charges. Please request quote for same.
Delivery prices
apply per order, irrespective of the number of products ordered as long as the
weight of the order does not exceed 30Kg. If the order exceeds 30Kg Caltech
Electrical Supplies Limited reserves the right to contact the customer to
inform them of additional delivery charges. Delivery will be made to the
Customer's business address, unless otherwise stated at order stage. The inputting of the delivery address is the responsibility of the customer in full. Caltech Electrical Supplies Limited are not liable in any way nor will replace and/or refund any orders that are lost or redirected due to incorrect information provided by the customer.
Caltech Electrical
Supplies will aim to deliver products in accordance with the times and dates
for delivery quoted on the Caltech Electrical Supplies website or by CES
employees (the 'Quoted Delivery Times'), but Quoted Delivery Times are
approximate only and Caltech Electrical Supplies shall not be liable for the
consequences of any delay in delivery. Manufactured products such as control stations and other custom built items on the Caltech Electrical Supplies website may (because of the nature of the products) be subject to a longer delivery time than off the shelf products.
If any delivery has
not been made by the Quoted Delivery Time, then subject to the Customer notifying
Caltech Electrical Supplies of such delay, Caltech Electrical Supplies will
endeavour to ascertain if the product has been delivered and will inform the
Customer of the status of the delivery or the new expected delivery time.
Caltech Electrical Supplies may also, at its discretion, refund the total
delivery charge to the Customer. If a revised delivery time is not acceptable
Caltech Electrical Supplies may also, at its discretion, offer an alternative
delivery option.
Caltech Electrical
Supplies will aim to deliver non-stock products within the lead
times stated for them on the Caltech Electrical Supplies website or later confirmed
by email or phone. All such lead times are approximate only, and no other
delivery options are available for non-stock products. Caltech Electrical
Supplies may, following Customer's order, notify the Customer if Caltech
Electrical Supplies will be unable to fulfil any order for non-stock products
within required lead time.
Inspection, Delivery Delays and Non-Delivery
The Customer must
inspect the products as soon as is reasonably possible after delivery or
collection. The Customer shall, within 5 days of the date of delivery or
collection give notice to Caltech Electrical
Supplies in detail of:
Any defect in the product that is apparent on examination. In
this case Caltech Electrical Supplies shall, at CESs discretion, replace the
products or refund the purchase price. In any event the Customer must refuse any parcels delivered in a damaged condition.Any shortfall in products delivered. In this case Caltech Electrical
Supplies shall, at its discretion, deliver the undelivered products or refund
the price of the undelivered products.
Any delivery of products not in accordance with the order. In this case
Caltech Electrical Supplies shall, at CESs discretion, replace the products or
refund the purchase price.
Any non-delivery of the products (in which case the time limit is within
5 days of the estimated despatch date). In this case Caltech Electrical
Supplies shall deliver the undelivered products or refund the price of the
undelivered products.
If the Customer
fails to give any such notice, the products shall be presumed to
be, in all respects, in accordance with the processed order and free from apparent
defects. The Customer shall be deemed to have accepted the products
accordingly. CES record of the products despatched (including the quantity)
shall be conclusive evidence of the products received by the Customer, unless
proved otherwise by the Customer.
Caltech Electrical Supplies shall not be liable for any losses, or for any costs, legal or other, expenses,
liabilities, loss of profits, business or economic loss, depletion of goodwill,
damages, claims, demands, proceedings, judgments or otherwise arising from
these circumstances.
Refund Policy
Our policy allow consumers up to 14 days from the date on which they received the goods to cancel their order and seek a full refund. Consumers must send back or hand over the goods not later than 14 days from the day on which you informed us of your decision to cancel. If you receive your order and are not satisfied for any reason you can return the product for a refund. If the period of 14 days has elapsed since the date the goods were signed for, we can't, unfortunately, offer you a refund.
Refund requirements
The following criteria must be met to qualify for a refund:
- Product is defective
- Product is not as described
- Product must be unopened unless found to be defective after opening
- Product must be in original packaging
- Product must be unused unless found to be defective after being put into service
- Product must not be damaged, again unless found to be defective after opening
In order to ensure the above criteria has been met, all returns will be inspected. If the product does not meet the listed criteria, we reserve the right not to issue a refund.
The consumer does not have to give a reason for cancelling the contract, but the consumer is responsible for the cost of returning the goods. The cost of the returning the goods is dependant on the courier service used by the consumer, but should not exceed the original cost of shipping.
Exceptions to the right to cancel
There are exceptions where we do not have to provide a cancellation period or provide a refund.
Exceptions include:
Custom built Goods such as Control Stations and other products that require assembly, and/or which are personalised for the consumer who purchased them
Goods which are perishable or will deteriorate quickly
Goods whose price depends on fluctuations in financial markets
Services which have already been fully performed, with the consumer’s agreement
Proof of purchase
To complete your refund, we require a receipt, purchase order or other proof of purchase. Please note that without the aforementioned proof of purchase, we will not issue a refund.
Sale and clearance items
Only regular priced items may be returned, unfortunately sale or clearance items cannot be returned.
Shipping items
In order to return an order, you must contact us first and obtain and include a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Returns will not be accepted without a valid Return Merchandise Authorization.
Visit any of our retail locations to return your items purchased through our online store. Our staff member will process your return or exchange for you.
You must take care to ensure that the goods are properly packaged so that they will not be damaged while in transit. If the product is found to us be used beyond what it takes for you to reasonably inspect it or damaged, then we may reject a refund.
All refunds will be subject to a 20% restocking fee.
